~The Lesson of the Day~
The lesson has begun
And her head sinks to my shoulder
Softly rubbing against my arm
It makes me feel that much older
The instructor tries to teach
While I grow that much bolder
Her eyes seem to preach
The sweetest confession of all
And she was all I wanted...
Her finger pokes my side
I can't resist her smile
The scent of her presence
Could capture from a mile
I gladly offer my hand
Those lips to beguile
'I love you', the wrong words
I keep to myself and my own
But she was all I needed...
The time for reflection
And she's holding my hand
The ink stains my skin
Like her tears in the sand
The picture she drew
So simple and grand
It seems too good to be
Just a day with a Gemini
And she's what I'll never have...

Just a day with a Gemini
For some reason I really (still) love that part.
